This year’s scholarship contest was once again a great success. I was truly honored to serve as the Maine Elks Association Scholarship Chairwoman this past year. Thank you to District Chairs, Bill Bachofner, PER, John Turner, and Jo Spielvogel for their commitment and dedication to our youth. This year we received a total of 109 applications from students throughout our state: representing 18 of our 20 Lodges. The ENF Program Manager was readily available to help in resolving any issues. The 2020 MVS Scholarship scoring system and judge dashboard will be administered thorough elks. Org and managed by the ENF Scholarship office. ISTS will continue to host the online application process for students, however. ENF has requested our continued patience and support as these changes are administered.
I am pleased to announce the results of the Most Valuable Student Scholarship Contest and the Maine Elks Association Scholarship winners. The results of this contest are the culmination of the hard work of many individuals, including students, parents, guidance counselors, Lodge, District, and State scholarship chairs and committee members.
The following six students will be awarded $1,000 per year for four years for a total scholarship award of $4,000.
