The DDGER for Maine’s Northern District this year is Jeff Bosse, a thirteen-year member and PER of the Old Town Elks lodge #1287.

For the past 25 years Jeff has worked for Amicus, working with adults with disabilities to help them become self-sufficient.  He has a special passion for the Special Olympics and has been the Head Coach for Team Maine Track and Field for two National Games (2018 Seattle, 2022 Orlando) and coached speed skating for the Special Olympics USA held in Torino, Italy in 2025.

Jeff is the State of Maine Clinician for new coaches in both Track & Field and Speed Skating, and as he headed off to Kansas City for this year’s Grand Lodge session, he received word he’s been named as Head Coach for the Maine team to a third national Track and Field Special Olympics again, to be in Minneapolis in 2026.

He’s a three-time Exalted Ruler of his lodge, serving continually from 2019 through 2022 and is the Founding (and current) President of the Old Town Elk Riders.  Jeff was also President Mike Hanigan’s state Association Sergeant at Arms for 2024-25

When not at the Lodge or work, he enjoys Dee-Jay-ing and riding his motorcycle.
