Barbara Pileggi, age 81, passed away at the Gosnell House in Scarborough on December 21, 2024, after suffering a stroke. Barbara was a one-of-a-kind volunteer at Portland Lodge 188. Most recently, she served as Esteemed Lecturing Knight on the Board, was a member of the Activity Committee, the House Committee, and the Veteran Committee, and worked the Hoop Shoot. She was an integral part of the Bingo Kitchen Team volunteering in the kitchen every Tuesday during Bingo. Barbara managed the Lodge’s memorial brick program and was the keeper of soda top tabs collected for Ronald McDonald House. She was the “caller” every Wednesday evening at the Lodge’s 3-Card Challenge Game. Barbara served as a trustee for five years. Basically, Barbara volunteered to do just about anything. She will be sorely missed.
