Maine’s District Deputies Designate enjoy a casual moment shotly after arrival
Sunday’s Convention News displayed the results of the ENF Chairs’ Challenge for the period April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2024, and Congratulations are due to the Waterville Lodge #905 chairmn Michael Achorn who earned Third Place for Division VI (Over 700 members) with a score of 980.000. Second place went to Groton, CT with a 1,000.00 score, and First to Greater Cape May, NJ with a score of 1,000.00
Sunday’s News also included the lodge ENF Per capita standings, and Wells #2738 took Second Place in their division (150 and fewer members) for $11,920 total donation, which comes to $175.294 per member.
Mike and Allison Desjardins hosted one of the most welcoming booths at the National Convention representing the Maine Elks Association on behalf of the Maine Children’s Cancer Program.

During Sunday’s Opening ceremony, Maine Elks Association President Michael Hannigan proudly bore in the Maine State Flag, to it’s place on the stage,

Throughout the convention the dais is flanked by the flags of every State and Territory in the Union.
At a special reception held to celebrate the new GER-Elect several members of Maine’s delegation had the opportunity to meet GER-Elect Douglas A. Schiefer and First Lady Julia, of the Bucyrus, OH Lodge #156.

The ritual team from Sanford represented Maine, and the New England area in the National competition during the convention, and did us ALL proud with their Fourth Place finish!

Wednesday morning, the final day of the convention, saw the installation of the Grand Lodge officers, and the new District Deputies.
