- The GoldStars Tribute Wall TM will be coming to Maine for Memorial Day Weekend to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice during the Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan Wars. It is a tribute to show the “Gold Star” families that their loved ones will not be forgotten.
The wall will be set up and on display at the Augusta Elks Lodge #964 on May 29-30, 2022, and will be open to the public to view. This is the first time that the wall will have traveled to the State of Maine, and will be the only stop in this state. So a large number of people from veteran organizations, government officials, and the public is expected.
The cost to bring the wall to Maine is $12,000 dollars. The Lodge has already made a deposit, and is now reaching out to request your assistance to fund this project. Any amount raised above the expense for the weekend will be donated to organizations that support our veterans.
