Help wanted for YouthFest

YouthFest will take place on Sunday, Aug. 23 at the Augusta Elks Lodge. If anyone is interested in helping with the game table for the lodge, please contact Exalted Ruler Kirk Pitts or Leading Knight Sandee Welch for more information.

E-mail addresses wanted!

If you would like to receive your newsletter by e-mail, please send the information to elk862@midmaine.com. This will help with mailing costs and also get the information to members a lot faster.

MEA collecting toner and inkjet cartridges

The Maine Elks Association is collecting used toner and inkjet cartridges for recycling with all proceeds going toward the Maine Children's Cancer Program (MCCP).

If you have a used cartridge, please drop it off at the lodge or contact Debi Briggs (364-2479) or Sandee Welch (364-2548) for pickup. Also, the lodge is still collecting used cell phones. Proceeds from "Phones to Fight Kid's Cancer" also goes toward the MCCP.

Bring in those soup and box top labels

We are still collecting soup and box top labels for education. A collection box is by the door in the lodge and a batch was recently taken to the local schools. Thanks for your support in this worthwhile project.
