October 15, 2006. Pictured below are Kyle Donlin and Jayce Thorbjonson, 2 competitors at the Elks State Soccer Shoot-Out. Both boys were sponsored by the Rockland Elks Lodge and had already won at the local level. Kyle finished first in the Under 8 Boys group while Jayce finished 2nd in the Under 10 Boys. Kyle, son of Chris and Andrea Donlin, competed in the New England Regionals at Frankin, Mass., on November 5th and finished 2nd. Both boys are to be congratulated on their accomplishments.

Perley Bartlett, PSP, PDDGER, PER

On November 5, Rockland Elks Lodge 1008 dedicated their T-Ball field to Perley Bartlett, Past State President of the Maine Elks Association. Perley was a 42-year member of the Rockland Elks who passed away in 1999. The plaque on the rock, which is draped by the banner reads:

Rockland Elks Lodge 1008 presented a check to the Rockland Police Department D.A.R.E Officer, Anthony Camporiale and Police Chief, Bruce Boucher. Presenting the check were Sam Smith, ER, and Clayt Collins, Drug Awareness Chairman for Rockland Elks.

November 7, 2006, Rockland Lodge 1008 delivered non-perishable food items to Real Country 103.3. For several weeks Rockland Elks had been collecting the items to fill Thanksgiving baskets for 103 needy families this holiday season. Pictured below, from the left are: Barb Guy, of Rockland Emblem Club 200 which donated a check to purchase food, Jill Goodridge of Real Country 103.3 and Dwayne Guy, of the Rockland Elks.
