Raffle for 1,000 gallons of fuel oil

The Waterville, Augusta and Gardiner Elks Lodges are co-sponsoring a raffle for 1,000 gallons of fuel oil from J & S Oil Company with all proceeds going toward the Togus Veterans' Hospital Trolley Fund.

Tickets are $10 each and only 1,000 will be sold. Drawing will be held on Sept. 7 at the Augusta Elks Lodge annual lobster feed.

Membership incentive program announced

In an effort to promote an increase in our membership, the Gardiner Lodge has announced an incentive program.

Nominate someone new for membership and receive a $10 credit on next year's dues. Nominate someone for reinstatement and get a $5 credit on next year's dues.

In order to thrive long-term, we need to increase our membership. It's a great organization working for great causes with some fantastic people as members. So why not propose someone to join us?
